George Persky was an investment partner at Anthem Energy from 2010 through 2017. Anthem Energy specializes in the management of complex and/or distressed physical energy and industrial businesses. Energy sector experience includes utilities, retail and wholesale energy providers, conventional and renewable electric power generation assets, energy storage and transportation, oil and gas production and processing, commodity trading businesses, as well as energy related financial service providers and private equity firms.

Mr. Persky has 20 years of experience in the energy industry. His tenure as a public company senior executive and corporate officer spans a range of areas including asset investment, project and leveraged finance, recapitalizations, commodities trading and risk management as well as physical asset permitting, development and operations.

He worked at Constellation Energy (acquired by Exelon in 2012) from 2002 to 2008, ultimately leading all the global commercial activities within its merchant business units and serving as a senior corporate executive. Previously, Mr. Persky worked at Goldman Sachs from 1999 to 2002 and was part of the team that built its power business within J. Aron. Prior to joining Goldman, Mr. Persky worked as an advisor to hedge fund and private equity clients on alternative asset class investments. In the early 1990s, Mr. Persky was a member of the team that built Enron’s successful merchant energy business in Europe. He also worked as Director, Finance and Administration for a medical information technology start-up in Philadelphia.

Mr. Persky received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and BS and MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
